Meet Larry Byvik, Owner

Larry Byvik is the owner of Ski Town Garage Doors and brings the same dedication, work ethic, and commitment to service that defined his career as a teacher. Originally from Virginia, Larry made his way to Steamboat Springs because of his lifelong passion for skiing and has proudly called the Yampa Valley home ever since.

A retired school teacher and father of four adult children, Larry has always enjoyed helping others. Today, he continues that passion by volunteering as a ski coach, teaching young skiers ages 12–14 and sharing his love of the mountains with the next generation.

Before settling in Colorado, Larry was an accomplished cyclist who raced on a nationally competitive traveling bicycle team. When he's not helping customers with their garage door needs, you'll likely find him skiing Steamboat's legendary powder, fly fishing a quiet river, sailing his 22-foot Catalina, mountain biking, or hiking Colorado's beautiful trails.

Larry built Ski Town Garage Doors on the values he has lived by throughout his life—hard work, honesty, fairness, and treating every customer with respect. He takes pride in providing dependable, high-quality service and believes that earning a customer's trust is just as important as completing the job right the first time.
